From 1 October 2022 there are new licensing laws for short-term lets in Scotland. You cannot apply for a short-term let licence via the landlord register. Some registered landlords also operate short-term lets in Scotland. If you are one of these you will need to apply to your local authority for a separate short-term lets licence. Most updates are free of charge. You will only be charged when a new rental property is added or you renew an existing registration. All fee information can be found on the Landlord registration fees page.
